Zapp appoints new CFO

Zapp has appointed Imad Kurdi as its new CFO to lead the company's financial operations.

Previously, Imad Kurdi served as CFO within Zain Group, a multi billion USD telecom corporate from the Middle East that is now also a major player on the African continent.

Imad Kurdi has more than 16 years of experience in finance with high exposure to international environment and since 2006 he directed the finance functions for a number of the operators in the Zain Group such as Zain Kuwait or Celtel International BV (Zain Africa).

As CFO, Imad Kurdi is in charge of finance, accounting, budgeting, treasury management and planning, investment, financial reporting and taxation.

Chris Bataillard commented on the new appointment: "Imad has tremendous experience in finance in general and an extremely valuable experience in telecom. His professional achievements highly recommend him and we believe he will have a positive impact on the company's future development and growth and will ensure a good financial performance."

Imad Kurdi is not completely stranger to Zapp as he worked for more than 12 years for Hariri Group & Saudi Oger, Zapp's shareholders, where he hold positions such as Senior Internal Auditor, Financial Controller and Internal Control & Information Security Director.

He also published a number of white papers and delivered various courses on Information Security Management, Treasury Management, Finance, Accounting or Internal Audit at Saint Joseph University or Pigier Business School in Lebanon.
