Zapp supports the project for social reintegration of children forced to work, launched by the Save the Children organization

As main sponsor of the Christmas Trees Festival for the first time, Zapp also attended the charity auction and bought a tree created by artist Leon Mocanu.

Also, Zapp ensured the technical support for the pre-auction phase, which took place online by using an application developed by Zapp. This enabled real-time tracking of the sums offered in order to calculate a starting price for each Christmas tree. Host Andi Moisescu was able to monitor on a laptop the price set for each tree. It was the first year the auction is helped by such technical support.

The Christmas tree acquired by Zapp was created the artist Leon Mocanu. It is made up of Murano glass colored globes, charged with the hope of helping as many children as possible to go to school instead of working. It was bought for 5,000 euros. The Christmas tree acquired by Zapp is being displayed at its headquarters.

A number of 15 unique Christmas trees have been auctioned during this year's festival, all created by designers and well-known companies. The auction raised 155,000 euros that will be used by Save the Children to continue the program for social reintegration of children forced to work, by supporting a new Education Centre in partnership with the Sector 1 Social Security General Department. Also, some of the funds will help Save the Children to develop new artistic and sports activities for the children already enlisted at the Education Centre and for other children in difficulty.
