Partnership between Zapp and Depozitul de Calculatoare

Zapp and Romsoft announce the launch of a commercial partnership that makes the Zapp Internet Express service available in the stores of Depozitul de Calculatoare retail network.

The agreement is part of Zapp's development strategy for focusing its efforts in attracting individual and business users that need high speed mobile or fixed Internet access and data transfer solutions. The partnership will give Zapp greater availability for consumers that want next generation technological solutions for Internet access. Zapp Internet Express is the first nationwide wireless broadband service, based on the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) technology that allows transfer rates at speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps.

"The stores in Depozitul de Calculatoare retail chain become the convergence points for the customer, computer and wireless broadband Internet access solution. Thanks to this partnership, we offer the customers the opportunity to buy from the same store both the computer and the Internet access solution," said Constantin Lucescu, Sales Director Zapp.

The concept for Depozitul de Calculatoare stores, aimed at end-users, was launched by Romsoft in 2002. Depozitul de Calculatoare offers at the best prices on the market a vast array of IT products and services (components, multimedia equipment, peripherals, digital cameras etc.) that cover entry-level, middle range, and high-end customers. Depozitul de Calculatoare retail chain has 44 stores nationwide (9 in Bucharest and one in 35 county capital cities).

Zapp's distribution network comprises its own 22 shops and more than 200 partners with over 300 points of presence in more than 80 cities across the country.
