Data Transfers in Romania

Zapp announces the launch of the country's first nationwide wireless broadband service, Zapp Internet Express, based on the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) technology, that allows transfer rates at speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps.

Zapp Internet Express gives users the possibility to download music and video files, to receive high-quality pictures online, access e-mail accounts and the company's private network, all in a fully mobile environment and with a high level of security.

The mobility offered by Zapp Internet Express allows access to the web anywhere in the Zapp network. Using the Z010 modem connected to a laptop, subscribers will be able to carry on with their work even when they are not in the office and to receive large-size files very fast. Data transfers in the CDMA 1xEV-DO network can reach speeds of up to 2.4 Mbps (for download) and up to 153,6 kbps (for upload).

Zapp Internet Express is now available in the Zapp commercial network in two forms: Zapp Internet Express 15 ($19 monthly subscription with 15 Internet access hours included) and Zapp Internet Express 100 ($39 monthly subscription with 100 Internet access hours included), while the modem costs $99. Additional data traffic is charged at $0.02/min. The new service is available in Bucharest and all the capital cities of Romania's counties.
